Missouri Tigers vs. Western Illinois Leathernecks (WOMEN) Recap

The Missouri Tigers clashed with their rival team the Western Illinois Leathernecks (Women) on November 15, 2014, both the teams were equally good but luck seemed to favor the Missouri Tigers as they managed to beat the living daylights out of their rivals with a score of 89-52 respectively. The Tigers proved their superiority by scoring 15 points within the first five minutes into the game, the Leathernecks were not even close to scoring to equal the score in the first half, the second half was even better for the Tigers as they were in the lead with a very dominant defense strategy, the star player was Kayla McDowell who managed to score the most points for the team.

Northwestern Wildcats vs. Western Illinois Leathernecks Recap

Northwestern started the game with first possession and scored on the ensuing drive with a touchdown in the first 2 and half minutes of play. The march down the field culminated in a 1 yard rush touchdown in 9 plays. Western Illinois then followed that drive with their own drive down the field for their first touchdown of the game using just over 3 minutes of the clock. This would be the final score at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter only saw one touchdown and it went to Northwestern giving them their second lead of the game and the 2nd touchdown by Solomon Vault. This would be the only score of the 2nd quarter, leaving the score at the end of the first half 14-7 Northwestern. The second half was all Northwestern just as the 2nd quarter. One touchdown in the 3rd quarter off of a run from Northwestern player Justin Jackson and the 4th quarter gave the lone field goal and last scoring play of the game to Northwester kicker Jack Mitchell.

Wisconsin Badgers vs. Western Illinois Leathernecks Recap

Western Illinois traveled to Wisconsin thinking upset going up against the ranked Badgers. In the first half they were able to keep things close. Wisconsin starting out the scoring with a safety. In the second quarter Tanner McEvoy would add a TD on a 7 yard run, Nathan Knuffman would get the Leathernecks on the board right before halftime on a 29 Yd Field Goal making it 9-3 halftime lead for the Badgers. Tanner McEvoy would take over in the second half with TD passes to Austin Ramesh and Melvin Gordon giving the Badgers a 23-3 lead and any upset bid for Western Illinois quickly fading away. Tanner McEvoy would add a fourth quarter Td pass to Alex Erickson before giving way to back up quarterback Bart Houston who would round out the scoring with a Td pass to Cory Clement.
