October 11, 2015
With the Redskins driving in Falcons territory, Atlanta's Robert Alford gave the Falcons a win in overtime with a 59-yard interception return for a touchdown. Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles Recap
October 4, 2015
On a rain drenched field in Washington D.C., the Redskins hosted their divisional rivals the Philadelphia Eagles. Rain would slow both offenses down to a methodical crawl, as neither would generate any spectacular plays on this dismal afternoon.
Dustin Hopkins was the most valuable offensive player on the field, as he launched 3 successful field goals in the 1st half alone to give Washington a 13 point lead heading into the locker room for intermission. The Redskins defense had looked outstanding, with a little help from Mother Nature, but most impressive was the Washington front seven’s ability to stuff the Eagle’s running game.
Sam Bradford seemed to wake up the Philadelphia offense with a pair of nice 3rd quarter drives, but a missed extra point on the first TD left the game tied at 13 apiece. Hopkins would kick his fourth field goal to end the scoring after three period with the Skins back up 3.
In three quick plays it seemed the Washington faithful would be sent home losers for the third time in the 2015 season, but quarterback Kurt Cousins looked like a Hall of Fame legend, driving Washington 90 yards in 15 plays, finding Pierre Garcon with a TD pass with 26 seconds left to secure the Washington victory.
