Florida State Seminoles Vs. South Florida Bulls Recap

Florida State took on instate rival South Florida. This game would be all about Florida State running back Dalvin cook. He would dominate the game and rush for 266 yards and score 3 touchdowns. With that said the Seminoles did not dominate the game to much as they were only up 17-7 heading into the 4th quarter. However the Offense picked up and Cook continued to run like a mad-man to get an easy double digit victory. FSU hasn't looked to special thus far but will be tested with going to Boston College on Friday, for a special Friday night game on ESPN.

Florida Gators vs. South Florida Bulls Recap

The Florida Gators took on the South Florida Bulls for an instate rivalry matchup on Tuesday. The Gators would strike first in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs on a Homerun by Richie Martin. That lead would hold for most of the game until the top of the 5th when the Bulls finally got a run and cut the lead in half to a 2-1 game. However the Gators would strike in the bottom half of the inning for 3 runs and that is all they would need. The Gators pitchers dominated the Bulls offense as starter, Dane Dunning only gave up 1 run, 3 hits, and struck out 8. He was pulled early but the bullpen made sure they would go on to win the game.

Florida State Seminoles vs. South Florida Bulls Recap

After allowing the South Florida Bulls to jump out to a 3-0 lead after 2 innings, Florida State scored 7 unanswered runs to take to the win. Alec Byrd came on in relief of Florida State starter Jim Voyles in the second inning and threw 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball. Byrd got the win and is now 2-0 on the season. Danny De La Calle led the Seminole offense, going 2-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI, including a solo home run. Florida State improved to 10-3 on the season while USF fell to 6-6-1.
