Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins Recap

For the Miami Dolphins, it seems change is a very good thing. The Dolphins had labored through a terrible 1-3 start to the 2015 NFL season, a huge disappointment as one of the teams skilled enough to challenge for a playoff berth. The Miami front office cut ties with their old coach after 4 weeks, hiring former NFL tight end Dan Campbell to run their team. The change paid off.

Campbell, long known from a list of hard line disciplinarian type coaching regimes seemed to immediately install his will on the Dolphins players, as the rolled into Tennessee on this Sunday afternoon and playing nearly flawless football for the first time all season, dominated the Tennessee Titans on both sides of the ball.

The biggest thing that stood out in this Miami victory was a return to the old-school hard-nosed type of football. Running back Lamar Miller rushed 19 times for over 100 yards including a TD run. Even wide receiver Jarvis Landry ran the ball a pair of times, one of those a 22 yard TD scamper.

The Dolphins looked like the team they were supposed to have been all season long, but taking control of the Titans early, and then burying them with a pair of 4th quarter touchdowns to set the 4 TD margin of victory.

Tennessee Titans vs. Buffalo Bills Recap

The Bills offense did nothing for most of the afternoon, but Tyrod Taylor led them on two late scoring drives to overcome a 10-point deficit and pick up a road win at Nissan Stadium. Taylor ran 22 yards for a touchdown to cut the lead to 10-7, then passed to Chris Hogan for the game-winning score. The Bills got the win despite generating just 207 yards of offense. They improved to 3-2 while the Titans fell to 1-3. Tennessee's Marcus Mariota completed 21-of-32 passes, but threw for only 187 yards and failed to complete a touchdown pass for the first time this season. Both quarterbacks led their teams in rushing yards, as Mariota ran for 47 yards and Taylor ran for 76.

Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts Recap

Andrew Luck and the Colts drove for three touchdowns late in the fourth quarter, earning a road win over the Titans and avoiding an 0-3 start. The Colts scored 21 points in less than five minutes to erase a 27-14 Titans lead. Luck finished with pedestrian statistics, 18-for-30 for 260 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, but the Colts got the win they desperately needed. Titans rookie Marcus Mariota completed 27 of 44 passes for 367 yards and also had two touchdowns and two interceptions. The Titans had a disadvantage on the ground, managing only 3.3 yards per carry to the Colts' 5.8 yards. The Colts' Frank Core rushed 14 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns.
