The Buccaneers' Blake Bortles threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Allen Robinson in the closing minutse of the fourth quarter, giving Tampa Bay a home win over in-state rival Jacksonville. Tampa Bay earned their first win at Raymond James season since the 2013 season, ending an 11-game losing streak. Bortles had the best game of his career, finishing 23-of-33 for 303 yards and four touchdowns. Allen Hurns caught five passes for 116 yards and a touchdown, and Allen Robinson had seven receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns. The Jaguars gained 183 yards on the ground, led by Doug Martin's 123 yard, two-touchdown performance.

An opportunistic defense led the Panthers to a win over the Buccaneers and a 4-0 record to start the season. On an afternoon when Tampa Bay enjoyed a 411-244 advantage in offensive yards, the Buccaneers killed their chances by committing five turnovers. Panthers cornerback Josh Norman intercepted two Jameis Winston passes and returned one of those for a touchdown. Winston threw four interceptions in his worst performance in his first four games. Operating from great field position for much of the afternoon, the Panthers' Cam Newton threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 51 yards on 12 carries. Doug Martin rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown for Tampa Bay.

Houston Texans vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Recap

Texans running back Alfred Blue gained 139 yards on 31 carries, leading Houston to a win over the Buccaneers at NRG Stadium. Blue ran for a 20-yard touchdown early in the fourth quarter to give Houston a 16-9 lead, and the Texans clinched the win later on Randy Bullock's 19-yard field goal with 1:15 to play. The Texans' Ryan Mallett completed 24-of-39 passes for 228 yards, while counterpart Jameis Winston was 17-for-36 for 261 yards. Texans rookie kicker Kyle Brindza made a 58-yard field goal but missed three field goals and an extra point. Winston's 32-yard pass to Charles Sims gave the Buccaneers a 9-7 halftime lead, but Tampa Bay didn't score at all after the break.
