Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Savannah State Tigers Recap

This game had all the makings of something special. A double no-hitter had never been achieved before in college baseball but after six complete innings, that's where Alabama and Savannah state stood. Both starting pitchers had walked two batters but double plays and great fielding had kept the score to 0-0. the first hit almost cam in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on first (from one of the base on balls), Crimson tide power hitting third baseman Steve Johnson belted what look to be sure home run. Speedy Tigers right fielder, Nelson Miller, sprinted into the right field corner as the ball rocketed towards the stands. At the last possible second, Miller leaped up, glove reaching for the sky and snared Johnson's smash keeping two runs off the board and keeping the double no-hitter alive for now. The seventh inning stretch was a welcome relief for fans, who have been at the edge of their seats through the first six innings. The next innings, would not disappoint either!
