SEC Men's Basketball Tournament - Session 7: Kentucky vs. Arkansas Recap

Kentucky won the SEC championship and will enter the NCAA tournament with a perfect record after beating Arkansas Sunday afternoon in Nashville. The top-ranked Wildcats got 15 points each from Willie Cauley-Stein and Andrew Harrison to improve to 34-0 on the season. The Wildcats would have been a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament even with a loss, but they ensured that wouldn't be an issue as they built a 41-25 lead at halftime. Arkansas got 18 points from Michael Qualls and 13 from Bobby Portis, but fell to 26-8 on the season. The 21st-ranked Razorbacks lost to the Wildcats for the second time this season and earned a #5 seed in the NCAA tournament.
SEC Men's Basketball Tournament - Session 6: Kentucky vs. Auburn & Arkansas vs. Georgia Recap

In the first game of the 6th session, Kentucky Wildcats took on Auburn Tigers. Wild cats dominated the first half and took a 18 point lead by the end of the first half. In the second half, Tigers put up a better show but still ended up trailing by six points by the end of the second half and overall by 24 points. Willey Cauley-Stein top scored for Kentucky with 18 points. In the second game, Arkansas Razorbacks took on Georgia Bulldogs. Arkansas took a comfortable 8 point lead by the end of the first half. The second half was a little bit closer, but Arkansas still managed to secure a three point lead and overall lead of 11 points.

In the South Eastern Conference Men's basketball tournament, Arkansas took on Tennessee in the first game of session 5. Arkansas finished the first half in a strong position by taking a lead of 20 points. In the second half Tennessee finished a 12 point lead but still not enough to bridge the 20 point gap. In the second game of the 5th session, Georgia took on South Carolina. Georgia completed the first half strongly by taking a seven point lead over South Carolina. In the second half too, Georgia managed to finish with a five point lead. For Georgia Marcus Thornton top scored with 15 points while Duane Notice top scored for South Carolina with 20 points.
