NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament: Rounds 2 & 3 - All Sessions: Virginia vs. Belmont & Michigan State vs. Georgia AND Duke vs. Robert Morris & San Diego State vs. St. John's Recap
March 20, 2015
The sessions in this one were incredibly fun to watch. We had several great matchups, including Virginia vs. Belmont, Michigan State vs. Georgia, Duke vs. Robert Morris, and San Diego State vs. St. Johns. Starting with the blowout, Duke acted like a number one seed in this one, crushing the Colonials by almost thirty points. There wasn't many highlights in this one, and the fate of St. Johns was almost as bad. They would lose by a dozen points, although not the fault of their star Pointer, as he had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Virginia would win by a dozen as well, but of the baker's variety. Malcolm Brogdon and Justin Anderson were the stars of the show for Virginia. The former had 22 points. Georgia will be headed back to the south after that matchup, it was close, but not enough for the Bulldogs. This was a Basketball matchup of the 2012 Outback Bowl in the BCS football series, but it wouldn't have the same outcome. That game went into three overtime periods, but thanks to a foursome of Michigan State players who scored 14 or more each, this game finished in regulation.
