Michigan Wolverines Hockey vs. Rensselaer Engineers Recap

The University of Michigan Wolverines’ men’s hockey team defeated the Rensselaer Engineers in a face-off on November 29, 2014. Michigan was able to save the day by scoring two goals within a 29 second timeframe late in the 3rd period. The game was close and tied at 1-1 when the third period began. Sophomore, Riley Bourbonnais, scored the goal that ultimately gave the Wolverines their first lead of the game. Michigan maintained the lead with Tyler Motte scoring his 5th goal of the season. Michigan’s top scorer, Zach Hyman, scored his 6th goal of the season, just 29 seconds later, leading the Wolverine’s to finish strong, defeating the Engineers.

The Michigan Wolverines took on their rival team the Rensselear Engineers on November 28,2014 in an exciting hockey match that evening. The first round of the match saw RPI in the lead with two goals in comparison to their rivals who did not score any goal in this round, by the second round both teams were equal with one goal each but this still kept RPI in the lead over their rivals, the third round was perhaps the most awesome game ever as both teams put up an equal fight for victory but MICH bounced back into action by scoring 2 goals in comparison to RPI who just managed one goal, the final deciding factor was that MICH Failed to score another goal to equal RPI and this led to RPI being victorious over MICH.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Rensselaer Engineers Recap

Rensselaer Engineers surprised everyone on Friday night in their season opener against the Fighting Irish. Coming in as the underdogs nobody expected their 3 to 2 victory. Mark Miller scored the game winning goal for the Engineers with only 4:35 left in the game. Engineers goalie had 31 saves for the game and held off the Irish when pressure was hot in the last quarter.
