Oregon Ducks vs. Portland State Vikings Recap

In the Oregon vs. Portland State i Joseph Young and was truly not Portland who came to play. There was the dynamic dueo of Joseph young working with Jalil Abdul-Bassit who both powered there way to scoring 19 points for the ducks. 50-30 at the end of first half and the double digit domination continued. Because of the bad play they called off the bench DaShaun Wiggins who put up 15 points for Portland and Bryce white had ten. But what reallyed helped proell the ducks was the ten rebounds that Brooks was able to rack up. The Vickings fell apart by the second half.

USC Trojans vs. Portland State Vikings Recap

In one of the season opening games for the PAC-12, the Trojans of USC hosted the Portland State Vikings at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Freshman Jordan McLaughlin led scoring for the Trojans at 19 points during his 33 minutes of play. Seasoned player, senior Tiegbe Bamba, who had come off of an Achilles' injury that had him out all of last season, scored 19 points for Portland State. The Vikings maintained a lead throughout most of the game, with USC never managing more than a one point lead for a brief period in the second half. USC's team, largely comprised of underclassman, managed 23 turnovers during the course of play, leading to their defeat to the Vikings in a final score of 76-68.

Oregon State Beavers vs. Portland State Vikings Recap

Oregon State opened their regular season with what should have been a blowout win against lowly Portland State, but the Vikings had other ideas, keeping the game closer than most expected, and actually leading the Beavers by a score of 14-13 at half. The Beavers would force Portland State into committing five turnovers in the second half, which would help vault them to eventual victory, but it still wasn't easy. The Beavers put up over 500 yards of offense while holding Portland State to merely 215 total yards. NFL prospect and Oregon State signal caller Sean Mannion put up over 300 yards through the air, including a touchdown in the third quarter that would ultimately put the game out of reach for the Vikings.
