Oakland Raiders vs. Denver Broncos Recap

Peyton Manning had another subpar outing, but the Broncos defense led Denver to a win at Oakland and a 5-0 record to start the season. With the Raiders threatening to take the lead in the fourth quarter, cornerback Chris Harris Jr. intercepted a Derek Carr pass and returned it 74 yards for a touchdown, giving the Broncos a 16-7 lead that effectively sealed the game. Harris Jr. got his first touchdown since the 2012 season. Manning was just 22-of-35 for 266 yards and two interceptions, and failed to throw a touchdown pass for the second time this season. The Broncos managed just 2.4 yards a carry on the ground, but got three Brandon McManus field goals. Carr finished 26-of-39 for 249 yards and a touchdown.

Chicago Bears Vs. Oakland Raiders Recap

The Bears' Robbie Gould kicked a 49-yard field goal to beat the Raiders, giving Chicago its first win of the season. In a game where neither team scored after halftime, the Bears used a 371-243 advantage in offensive yards to overcome three turnovers. The Bears' Jay Cutler finished 28-of-43 for 281 yards and two touchdowns, while Matt Forte rushed for 91 yards on 25 carries. Forte has gained 367 yards on the season. Martellus Bennett was Cutler's most frequent target, with 11 receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. For Oakland, Amari Cooper and Roy Helu each caught touchdown passes from Derek Carr.

Cleveland Browns Vs. Oakland Raiders Recap

The Raiders' Derek Carr threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns, leading Oakland to a win in Cleveland, its first road win since the 2013 season. Carr completed 20-of-32 passes, and Latavius Murray rushed for 139 yards to give the Raiders a balanced offense. The Browns' comeback bid fell short when Josh McCown was intercepted in Oakland territory in the final minute. McCown drove the Browns from their own 1 to the Oakland 29 before taking a sack, then throwing an interception on Cleveland's two final plays. McCown completed 28-of-49 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns, but the Brons were outgained on the ground by over 100 yards.
