Dylan Busby got his first four run effort of his career, and Danny De La Calle tied his effort with an equal four runs. Josh Delph's grand slam helped Florida State win their opening baseball game Friday over Oakland at Dick Howser Stadium. The Seminoles fell behind in the first inning when three errors led to two unearned runs, but FSU starting pitcher Mike Compton kept the Goldem Grizzlies scoreless for the next five innings. Florida State got one run back in the fifth on D.J. Stewart's RBI double, then took a 3-2 lead in the seventh on John Sansone's two-run double. Delph's grand slam an inning later, just the second of his career in his 158th game played, capped the comeback. Bryant Holtmann got the win in relief, while Lucas Scocchia took the loss for Oakland.
