LSU Tigers vs. Northwestern State Demons Recap

LSU beat Northwestern State at Alex Box Stadium Wednesday night to extend their winning streak to six games. The third-ranked Tigers allowed six runs, but their offense was too much for the Demons. The top of LSU's lineup was the key to the victory. Leadoff hitter Jake Frailey scored two runs and drove in two more, and #2 batter Chris Sciambra was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI. Third hitter Alex Bregman reached base four times, scored three runs, and drove in another, and cleanup man Chris Chinea was 3-for-5 with three RBI. Baylor Bears vs. Northwestern State Demons Recap

We were there sitting in the 4th inning. Hot dogs in hand, soda between the legs, and sun blazing right over. The Yankees went up to bat. They needed this home run to gain the lead, and everyone was putting on the pressure. Bases loaded, the pitcher winds up. Everyone sits in anticipation. The pitcher throws. *CRACK*. He hits the ball dead on. It's out of sight, gone with the wind, following that blazing sun. The crowd wails in excitement as the players on the field do a light jog to home home and get those four points they were hoping to land.

Baylor Bears vs. Northwestern State Demons Recap

The rain was coming down hard, and the game was turning to mush. The game was delayed in the 5th inning with the Baylor Bears leading the Northwestern State Demons 5-2. The Demons had looked sloppy up to this point, but the tables would turn in the 6th inning. The Demon's lead off hitter hit a fastball right over the second basemen's head. The next batter put up a fly ball to left field, and the outfielder made an error and dropped the ball. The next guy got on base, too. The bases were loaded in the bottom of the sixth when the Demon's best player came up to the plate. The pitcher put everything he had behind his fastball, and the clean up struck the ball with all his force sending it deep. The grand slam in the bottom of the sixth put the
Demon's up 6-5. The rain picked up again and the game was eventually stopped due to inclement weather.
