In the first period of this NCHC hockey game between Omaha Mavericks and St. Cloud State, cloud state took the lead through a goal by David Morley in the 15h minute of the first period. Mavericks couldn't core any goal in the first period. In the second period, Austin Ortega helped Mavericks to equalize the scores by scoring a goal in the 10th minute of the second period taking the game in to over time. In the 10th minute of overtime play, Cloud state went ahead through a goal by David Morley. Mavericks couldn't convert the opportunities that came their way in overtime play.

On Tuesday November 25th the Nebraska Cornhuskers hosted the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. Devin patterson led the Mavericks with 20 points going 6 of 13 from the floor and 7 of 8 from the foul line while grabbing 5 rebounds. Marcus Tyus was 4 of 6 from the floor to score 12 points and get 3 steals. Shavon Shields had a great game for the Huskers going 12 of 16 from the floor making all 4 of his 3 pointers and going 7 of 8 from the foul line to score 35. Terran Petteway had 20 points 12 rebounds and 3 assists.

Ohio State Buckeyes Hockey vs. Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks Recap

The nineteenth ranked University of Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks visited the Ohio State Buckeyes at Value City Arena in front of 2,890 spectators. The first period saw a combined total of five goals scored as the Buckeyes would take a 3-2 lead with goals by Fritz Tanner, Chad Niddery and Darik Angeli.
Avery Peterson would score both goals for the Mavericks to keep the game close. In the second period, Nebraska would tie the game up with a goal by David Pope. The Buckeyes would be kept scoreless in the third period while the Mavericks would get the game winner from Justin Parizek. With the win, the Mavericks go to 6-1-1 on the season and the Buckeyes fall to 2-5-1.
