Missouri Tigers vs. South Carolina Gamecocks Recap
October 3, 2015
This was a very exciting game for the Tigers and Gamecocks! The starting quarterback for Missouri is currently suspended, so the true freshman backup quarterback, Drew Lock, started in his place. He did very well for his first start, scoring two touchdowns and completing three quarters of his passes. By contrast, Lorenzo Nunez, the Gamecocks' QB threw three interceptions and only scored one touchdown. There was a close call when Nunez's touchdown throw was almost intercepted by a member of the opposing team. Fortunately for Nunez and the Gamecocks, the ball bounced off his hand and into the hands of Gamecocks player Shon Carson, and the Cocks were still able to score a touchdown! Three players from Missouri, Walter Brady, Ian Simon and Kenya Dennis, each scored an interception. It wasn't all good news for Missouri though, as Terry Beckner was kicked out of the game in the second quarter for a foul he committed against Nunez. Overall, it was a very competitive and spirited game between these two very good teams.
