Ohio State Buckeyes Vs. Maryland Terrapins Recap

The Maryland Terrapins battled tough for a while but couldn't knock off the #1 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes saturday afternoon at Ohio Stadium. Perry Hills threw a 52 yard touchdown pass to D.J. Moore to give Maryland an early 7-0 lead. Hills would later score on a 3 yard run right before the half to pull the Terrapins within 7 at 21-14. Another Hills touchdown run tied the game at 21 in the third quarter. Though Ohio State would score 4 unanswered touchdowns capped by J.T. Barrett's third touchdown run of the game as the Buckeyes pulled away for the victory. Cardale Jones led the way for the Buckeyes with 291 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. Perry Hills had 133 yards passing and added 170 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns in a losing effort for the Terrapins.
Maryland Terrapins vs. Michigan Wolverines Recap

Michigan used another strong defensive performance to beat Maryland in College Park in the team's Big Ten opener. The 22nd-ranked Wolverines gave up just 105 yards to earn their second straight shutout. Michigan has given up just 14 points in its last four games. Saturday, the Wolverines held Maryland to 1.1 yards a carry, intercepted three Caleb Rowe passes, and stopped the Terrapins on all but one of their 18 third down attempts. Michigan's offense contributed 198 rushing yards, including Jehu Chesson's 66-yard run in the third quarter. Jake Rudock completed 16-of-32 passes for 180 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown pass to Drake Johnson.

West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Maryland Terrapins Recap

The Mountaineers hosted the Maryland Terrapins on Saturday. This would be the first real test for the Mountaineers as they had two cupcakes in the previous games, and they would prove worthy of their 2-0 start on the season. The Mountaineers controlled the whole game doing whatever they wanted to the Terrapins. Quarterback Skyler Howard threw for nearly 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wendell Smallwood ran for 147 yards and scored a touchdown, and Shelton Gibson Caught 6 passes for 118 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Mountaineers. The Mountaineer defense did not allow much as they only gave up 6 points, and the Moutaineer went on to win easily by nearly 40 points.
