The Alabama Crimson Tide pitching staff was too tough to overcome for the Lipscomb Bisons Sunday. Alabama pitchers combined to the throw a 3-hit shoutout. Alabama starter Geoffrey Bramblett threw 6 innings of 1 hit ball with 5 strikeouts. Riley Colburn was 2-for-4 with two RBI for Alabamas offense. Alabama improved to 9-6 on the season with the win.

The Alabama Crimson Tide played the second of a three game series against the Lipscomb Bisons on Saturday night. The Tide, plagued by an inconsistent offense early on in the season, looked to create more momentum after winning Friday in the series opener. Will Carter started for Alabama, and looked impressive through five innings before giving up a run in the sixth to make it a 2-1 game. The Crimson Tide brought in reliever Jay Shaw, but he was ineffective, giving up five runs including a three run bases-clearing double. Nick Andros started for Lipscomb, and held Alabama to two runs in seven innings of work.

Alabama's senior staring pitcher Taylor Guilbeau's strong start lifted the Crimson Tide to a home win Friday night over Lipscomb. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Tide, who improved to 8-5. Guilbeau (2-1) pitched into the ninth inning and allowed just one run before Thomas Burrows came in to strike out three batters in a row to preserve the win. Burrows got his first save of the season. Alabama's offense scored all five of their runs in the seventh inning and was led by Casey Hughston, who was 2-for-4 with a run scored, a steal, and two RBI. For Lipscomb, Jonathan Allison drove in the only run on a first-inning single.
