South Carolina Gamecocks vs. LSU Tigers Recap
October 10, 2015
This game had to be moved to LSU as the terrible flooding around Columbia made it impossible to have the game there. It was still considered a home game for South Carolina, and LSU's band even learned South Carolina's fight song to play for them at the beginning of the game. South Carolina got off to a decent start, and kept it close for a while. LSU pulled away in the second half, led by their Heisman Trophy candidate Leonard Fournette. It was a season low 158 rushing yards on 20 carries for Fournette. Fournette also offered to auction his game jersey, with proceeds going to help the flooding victims in Columbia. The NCAA granted that request, and the jersey will be auctioned at some point in the future. With the game being moved only on Wednesday of this week, attendance was a pedestrian 42,058 in the large Tiger Stadium that is normally sold out. LSU moved to 5-0 and will play Florida at home next Saturday, while South Carolina will play Vanderbilt at home next week.
