Kansas Jayhawks vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders Recap
October 17, 2015
Texas Tech struggled more than expected against winless Kansas, but still escaped Lawrence with a victory. Kansas got within 23-20 and took possession with a chance at the go-ahead score, but the Red Raiders' Jah'Shawn Johnson intercepted a Ryan Willis pass and returned it 27 yards for the game-clinching touchdown. Typical of a Big 12 game, both teams relied heavily on the pass. Willis finished 35-of-50 for 330 yards and two touchdowns, while Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes II finished 30-of-51 for 359 yards and one touchdown. Texas Tech's DeAndre Washington gained 160 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries, while the home team's De'Andre Mann ran for 107 yards on 15 carries.
