In the first innings TCU scored their first run in two hits. In the first three innings Incarnate word couldn't score any run. In the third innings, TCU scored two more runs in two hits. In the fourth innings both teams failed to score any run. In the fifth innings TCU scored two more runs to increase their tally to five runs. In the seventh innings, Incarnate word scored their first run. But still they were trailing by four runs. In the eighth innings TCU scored one more run. In the ninth innings Incarnate couldn't add any more runs to their one run tally and the game ended in the ninth innings.

Texas got back-to-back home runs from Tres Barrera and Brooks Marlow, helping the Longhorns to a home win over Incarnate Word. The 16th-ranked Longhorns used seven different pitchers on the night, but all of them were effective as the Cardinals were limited to a single run. on three hits. Tyler Schimpf (1-0) retired eight of the nine batters he faced to pick up his first win. Barrera finished 2-for-4 and Bret Boswell, Michael Cantu, and Ben Johnson also had two hits each for Texas as the Longhorns improved to 11-6. For Incarnate Word, who fell to 7-10, Colton Besset's RBI single in the ninth provided the only highlight.

The Texas A&M Aggies played a shutout vs the Incarnate World Cardinals on Wednesday. A few clutch doubles and other great at bat contributions from A&M allowed them to run up the score. The real deal breaker for this game was the superior pitching from A&M. Five different pitchers all took the mound to pitch this shutout.
