NBA Preseason: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets Recap

Oklahoma took control of yesterday’s NBA preseason game in the 1st quarter and never looked back against the Denver Nuggets. The Thunder won for the 4th time against a single defeat, handing Denver their second loss against an equal number of wins.

Most of the second half was played by second unit players, but Thunder star Kevin Durant was impressive in his court time, scoring 23 points to further squelch the notion he may take awhile to return from an injury that kept him off the court most of last season.

Once a viable title contender, the Thunder continued their impressive showing in the preseason to once again become a viable player in the NBA Western Conference.

NBA Preseason: Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets Recap

Coming off of a great postseason run, you’d expect the Warriors to be looking strong going into the NBA preseason. They showed flashes of the brilliance that got them there, with Kenneth Faried shooting for 22 points and 12 boards, but some questions remain. Andrew Bogut, despite getting fitter on the offseason, only had three points and five rebounds on the night. Steph Curry only had 14 points, but nine of those came within an 80-second span in the first, showing just how dangerous they are given the chance. In the end, Denver was just too much for the Warriors to handle, as they dropped their third straight game against the Nuggets.
