Leo Komarov scored two goals for Toronto, Joffrey Lupul had a goal and an assist, and Daniel Winnik had three assists. Toronto trailed 1-0 after Boone Jenner's first-period goal for Columbus, but scored three times in the first nine minutes of the second period. Columbus goalie Sergei Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 30 shots before being pulled for an empty net late in the third period. The Blue Jackets take to the ice vs. the Sabers to star the season on October 9th. The home opener is on the books start at 7 Pm on the 11th vs. the New York Rangers. Some big home games with great promotions they say will be coming up in November 8th vs. Tampa Bay then on November 15 vs. San Jose. They will skate the Pittsburgh on December 13th that is a must see for Blue Jacket and Penguin fans. It’s long way away but April 10th could be important game when they play the e Buffalo Sabres at home. The next day less then 24 hours after the last home game they will go up to New York to face Islanders which could be one of the final matches at the old Long Island facility. The puck is set to drop in that game at 7:00 PM on Saturday night.

The intermissions are very dark when the dim the lights during intermission.
