Los Angeles Kings vs. Colorado Avalanche Recap

Just 23 seconds after the Avalanche's Matt Duchene tied their game against the Kings, Los Angeles responded with Tyler Toffoli's goal that proved to be the game-winner at the Staples Center. The Kings have only six goals in five games this season, but escaped with their second straight home victory. Toffoli, a 26-goal scorer a year ago, has three goals for the Kings. Marian Gaborik also scored his first goal of the season for Los Angeles, while Anze Kopitar led a strong defensive effort that limited Colorado to 23 shots on goal. In contrast, the Kings took 40 shots on goal, but Colorado goalie Reto Berra made 38 saves in the losing effort.

Anaheim Ducks vs. Colorado Avalanche Recap

On October 16th, 2015 the Anaheim Ducks hosted the Colorado Avalanche at Honda Center in Anaheim, California in both teams' fourth game of the season. Coming into the night, Ducks' coach Bruce Boudreau scratched several players and replaced them with Chris Wagner and Tim Jackman in hopes of igniting his team's offensive core. The plan did not work to plan, as Avalanche's goaltender Reto Berra had an outstanding night making 35 saves. The Avalanche's scoring began early with the third-year pro Nathan MacKinnon rifling a puck past Andersen less than a minute into the contest. Other notes on the game include the Duck's defenseman Simon Despres leaving the game injured after blocking a shot in his upper body during the second period.

Colorado Avalanche Vs. Boston Bruins Recap

This is a three-star game, as three Bruins' players shined as stars against the Colorado Avalanche. Jimmy Hayes scored one and assisted for three, Ryan Spooner scored and assisted one more and Tyler Randell scored one. Offense was performing, but it is also defensively that the guys from Boston performed especially well. It was highly necessary as the players from Colorado are well known for their scoring skills. Gustavsson, starting for the first time at the goalkeeper position, saved 20 shots. Nothing satisfying to say in favour of the players from Colorado as they just faded. That's just what their coach had to say.
