Atlanta Falcons vs. Chicago Bears Recap
October 12, 2014
Each team won 2 quarters, but at the end, the victory was for the Bears. It is even hard to believe they only won 2 quarters, as the final score was more than comfortable for the Chicago guys. For sure, the performance in passing was instrumental in the win. Cutler passed for 381 yards. His passing efforts only ended up with a single touchdown, but he paved the way for Forte who rushed for 2 touchdowns. It was one of his career high in passing. The last time Cutler passed for more yards dates from... 2008! During the game, he passed for at least 19 yards 6 times, which is even more amazing. The victory is also due to a strong defense from the Bears, despite playing without 3 starting linebackers and 1 of their prime backups who were all out for injuries.
Carolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears Recap
October 5, 2014
Greg Olsen caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Cam Newton with just over two minutes remaining, completing a fourth quarter comeback that lifted the Carolina Panthers over the Chicago Bears, 31-24.
Chicago scored on three consecutive drives in the first half, and led 21-7 after Jay Cutler's 25-yard touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery early in the second quarter. But the Bears managed only a field goal the rest of the way and hurt themselves with four turnovers on offense. Neither team managed even 100 yards rushing, but the turnovers proved to be the difference in the game.
For Carolina, Newton finished 19 of 35 for 255 yards and two touchdowns, both to Olsen, who finished with 72 yards receiving. Cutler completed 28 of 36 passes for 289 yards, but was intercepted twice and also lost a fumble. The Panthers moved to 3-2 while the Bears dropped to 2-3.

Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers Recap
September 28, 2014
After a tight first half Green Bay went into half leading 21-17. In the second half Green Bay would continue this scoring, while Chicago would not score another point in this game. After last weeks dismal performance Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense silenced the critics with a nearly flawless display. This offensive display would include scoring on all of their first 6 possessions, which would put the game to rest. Rodgers threw 4 touchdowns and 302 yards. Both Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson had received for over 100 yards and two TD's with 7 and 10 receptions respectively. Eddie Lacey also added a rushing touchdown on what would have been a below average night, only rushing for 48 yards on 17 attempts. Not only did the offense perform, but the Packers defense also, intercepting Jay Cutler twice in the third quarter to put the game to bed.
