Exhibition: USC Trojans vs. Cal St. LA Golden Eagles Recap
November 8, 2014
Despite missing their first nine shots, and finding themselves on the short-end of a 14-1 line, USC rallied to down Cal State Los Angeles in Saturday's exhibition hoops matchup at Galen Center. Led by a strong defensive effort, as well as frosh Jordan McLaughlin's 18-point performance, the Trojans eventually turned it around to take a 42-37 halftime advantage en route to an easy 19-point romp. Besides out-rebounding the Golden Eagles, 46-40, USC's defensive notched a baker's dozen in steals and caused 23 turnovers. The Trojans were also helped by their 22 for 29 shooting from the charity stripe while sophomore Nikola Jovanovic poured in 16 points.
