Arizona Coyotes Vs. Boston Bruins Recap

The Coyotes hosted the Bruins on Saturday night. The Coyotes had looked good thus far, while the Bruins had struggled. The struggles looked to continue early on as the Coyotes scored first and took a 1-0 lead into the 2nd period However that's when the game turned. The Bruins would use special teams to take over the game scoring on 3 power plays and one shorthanded goal. Patrice Bergeron would score 2 of those goal on the power play while Brad Marchand scored the shorthanded goal. The Coyotes did provide a few more goals as well but it was not enough, as the Bruins would prevail.

Colorado Avalanche Vs. Boston Bruins Recap

This is a three-star game, as three Bruins' players shined as stars against the Colorado Avalanche. Jimmy Hayes scored one and assisted for three, Ryan Spooner scored and assisted one more and Tyler Randell scored one. Offense was performing, but it is also defensively that the guys from Boston performed especially well. It was highly necessary as the players from Colorado are well known for their scoring skills. Gustavsson, starting for the first time at the goalkeeper position, saved 20 shots. Nothing satisfying to say in favour of the players from Colorado as they just faded. That's just what their coach had to say.

Boston Bruins vs. Tampa Bay Lightning Recap

There were goals aplenty when the Bruins met the Lightning. 2:59 into the 1st, David Krejci scored for Boston during a power play for the first goal of the game. During another power play, Loui Eriksson scored another, giving Boston a 2-0 lead just a bit over halfway into the 1st. Brian Boyle and Ondrej Palat responded, scoring two goals in quick succession, giving the game a 2-2 score at the end of the period. Boyle scored another 4:58 into the 2nd, giving Tampa Bay the lead. Eriksson benefited from another power play though, scoring and tying up the game yet again, but Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos took them ahead again during another power play, ending the period 4-3. This was the 500th point for Stamkos since the beginning of his NHL career. The Bruins tried, but were unable to make anything happen in the 3rd as Jonathan Drouin and Valtteri Filppula gave the Lightning another 2 points and another win for the season.

Montreal after the game the coach said Spooner being a “defensive liability.” Some feel that this is just a clear yet cowardly way of telling him he will probably get traded.
