Miami Hurricanes vs. Barry Buccaneers Recap
February 25, 2015
The Miami Hurricanes visited the sunny and gorgeous confines of Barry Ballpark to challenge the Barry Buccaneers last Saturday in what promised to be an exciting divisional matchup. The Hurricanes had taken two out of three prior to that meeting and in the one game in which they lost, the Buccaneers squeaked by in extra innings. The Hurricanes, by far the more talented team, were the overwhelming favorites. However, the Buccaneers, cheered on by an outstanding and rabid home crowd, stunned the Hurricanes. Asked about the performance afterwards, the starting pitcher for the Hurricanes said, "he just didn't have it today.†It showed, in the first three innings he surrendered two home runs and four earned runs before being pulled from the game after disputing a call by the home plate umpire. The only accuracy he showed all day was the dirt he flung into the eyes of the umpire as he tossed him out.
