Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens Recap
October 1, 2015
The Baltimore Ravens strolled into Pittsburgh for a divisional battle with their rivals from the Steel Town. Winless after 3 weeks in the 2015 NFL season, Baltimore was essentially in a must win situation.
Pittsburgh was and playing without their star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger for the game after he injured his knee a week prior. Pittsburgh seemed to be in control of the game for the entire 4 quarters, doing just enough to keep the Ravens off the board and build a 13-point lead late in the 3rd quarter.
But seemingly out of a sense of desperation not to start the season with 4 straight losses, Joe Flacco began to bring Baltimore back. A TD pass to Kamar Aiken cut into the Steeler lead, the Justin Tucker would hit two 4th quarter field goals to send the game into overtime.
When the Steeler drive stalled in the OT period, Flacco lead the Raven offense to navigate 32 yards in 8 plays, and Tucker nailed a long 52 yarder to give Baltimore their first victory in 2015, a desperation win against their divisional rivals.
