Michigan Wolverines vs. BYU Cougars Recap

The 22nd ranked BYU Cougars traveled to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines. The Michigan defense was the story in this game really holding the Cougars down. BYU QB Tanner Mangum was only able to complete 12 of 28 passes on the day for a mere 55 yards. They did not do any better on the ground where they only ran for 54 total yards on 21 carries. On the other hand Michigan had a great day on the ground racking up 254 yards on 51 carries as a team. Deveon Smith was the main rusher with 125 yards on 16 carries. Almost half of those came when he broke a huge 60 yarder. Jake Rudock had 10 carries for 33 yards but 2 of them ended up in the end zone. Amara Darboh was the main receiver in the game with 4 catches for 57 yards and a score.
Ucla Bruins Vs. Byu Cougars Recap

In what proved to be the game of the week, UCLA and BYU game was everything everybody expected. BYU was not intimiated by the Bruins and looked good in the first half. They would take a 10-3 lead into halftime as their defense played solid. The 2nd half the offense came alive for both teams. UCLA would come out in the 2nd half and score on a 5 yard TD run by Paul Perkins. BYU Would answer with a 14 yard TD pass from Tanner Mangum to Mitch Matthews. BYU would than add a FG to give them a 10 point lead with 13:41 left in the game. UCLA responded quickly scoring just a minute later to cut the lead back to 3. BYU stormed down the field and scored a FG. UCLA went right back down the field scored a TD to take a 24-23 lead. BYU would have one last chance and on a 4th and 7 from the UCLA 42 Mangum would throw a pick which would end the game, and UCLA would hold onto victory.

Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. BYU Cougars Recap

In the first quarter Nebraska proves to be the better team, scoring early in the game to give them a 7-0 lead of the Cougars. In the second quarter BYU's quarter back, Hill connects with number 10 Matthews for a pass touchdown to put the Cougars on top at the start of the second half. A huge turn of momentum happens at 11:29 in the 3rd quater; BYU's Hill is picked off by Nate Garry. Nebraska converts the pick into a touchdown. In the closing six minutes of the 3rd. quater Nebraska's Armstrong to Trey Foster connect for a touchdown putting Nebraska up. In the last seconds of the game BYU's substitute quarterback throws a hail marry and connects with Mich Mathews to win the game.
