Penn State had plenty of trouble with Army's running attack, but the Nittany Lions forced three turnovers and their offense did just enough to get a win over the Black Knights in State College. Army ran just one passing play but gained 261 yards on 55 rushing plays. Army's A.J. Schurr ran for two touchdowns, including a 56-yarder in the fourth quarter. Penn State's offense had the game's biggest drive late in the third quarter, gaining 91 yards on just three plays including Christian Hackenburg's 33-yard pass to Mike Gesicki for a touchdown and a 20-7 lead. The Nittany Lions improved to 4-1 and have won four straight, while the Black Knights fell to 1-4.
USC Trojans vs. Army Black Knights Recap

The Army Black Knights went into the Galen Center and left victorious against the USC Trojans. USC had a 63-54 lead with just 4 minutes left when Army stormed back led by Kyle Wilson. Wilson scored 6 points including the game tying layup as Army ended regulation on a 11-2 run to force overtime. Wilson added 10 more points in overtime to lead Army to victory. Army outscored USC 20-12 in the overtime period. After scoring just 4 points in the first half, Kyle Wilson finished with a game high 30 points. Jordan McLaughlin had 24 points 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a losing effort for the Trojans.
Stanford Cardinal vs. Army Black Knights Recap

The Stanford Cardinal hosted the Army Black Knights at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California on September 13th. The Cardinal were trying to bounce back from a loss the previous week to USC. Stanford was led by Kevin Hogan, who completed four touchdown passes, three to Devon Cajuste. Ty Montgomery caught the other touchdown pass and also rushed for a 4 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter and led the team in receiving with 86 yards. Barry Sanders led the Cardinal in rushing with 92 yards. The Black Knights were led by A.J. Schurr, who had 65 rushing yards on 6 attempts.
