Edmonton Oilers Rookies vs. Alberta Golden Bears Recap
September 16, 2015
A huge crowd turned out to see Edmonton Oilers rookie Connor McDavid's appearance in an exhibition game, and McDavid did not disappoint them. McDavid had a three-point night as the Oilers rookies won their annual exhibition game against the University of Alberta. The teams usually contest the game at a 2,700-seat arena, but moved it to Rexall Place because of interest in McDavid. The game drew over 14,000 fans. McDavid failed to score on a pair of breakaways but displayed dazzling passing skills as he tallied three assists. The Oilers' Leon Draisaitl finished with four points for the night and was the second-best player on the ice after McDavid.
