September 5, 2015
The Texas A&M Aggies took on the Arizona State Sun Devils for a kickoff classic. The Game was played on a neutral site in Houston. Both teams come into the season with high hopes, and especially Arizona State. This game was primed to be a shootout, and somewhat did not live up to the hype. The Aggies came out first and scored on a TD early in the first quarter. Than a Christian Kirk returned a 79 yard punt to give the Aggies a 14-0 lead. But Arizona State finally struck back with a TD pass from Bercovici and cut the lead in half. The game headed into the 3rd quarter and a TD run by Mike Bercovici got the game even closer as it was 17-14 Aggies heading into the 4th quarter. From there it would be all Aggies as QB Kyle Allen started hitting on all cylinders and threw, and ran for a TD so put away the Sun Devils and give the Aggies the win.
